CHINAPLAS 2025 ran in Shenzhen from 15 to 18 April. BKL-MACHINE took Booth 6B61 in Hall 6, the hall signed for extrusion machinery and recycling technology, and put two machines on it: an SS600 single-shaft shredder and a mini75 air-cooling pelletizing line.

Two Machines Aimed at Two Different Buyers
The pair on the stand were not a large machine and a small version of it. They were built for two businesses that have almost nothing in common beyond both handling plastic.
The shredder belongs in a recycling plant: material arrives from outside, its history is unknown, and the first job is to make it small enough and uniform enough that everything downstream can cope. The mini75 belongs in a factory that makes plastic products and wants to stop paying to have its own offcuts taken away. One buyer is processing other people’s waste as a business. The other is closing a loop inside a building it already owns. Quoting the same machine to both is the most common way a specification goes wrong.

The Shredder as the First Decision, Not the Cheapest One
The SS600 takes soft and hard input through the same rotor: film, woven sacks, nylon fibre, textile offcuts, purging lumps, industrial scrap, thick PP and PE pipe, pallets and moulded goods. On a rigid stream it is often paired with a crusher afterwards, because a shredder opens material up and a crusher brings it to final flake size.
What buyers underestimate is how far forward this choice reaches. Screen size sets flake size; flake size sets what a washing line can separate and how much fines the batch carries; fines content is one of the things a granule buyer prices against. A shredder chosen only on price shows up as a discount on every tonne sold afterwards, which is the practical reason buyers judge regrind on consistency rather than on polymer alone.
mini75, and the Customer Who Is Not a Recycler
The mini75 is an air-cooling pelletizing line for small-scale PE film, and the customer it was built for is a blown film or bag-making plant rather than a recycling operation.
That distinction matters because it changes what the machine has to be good at. Factory edge trim is the cleanest post-industrial material there is: single polymer, known grade, no contamination, one heat cycle. It does not need a wash line in front of it. What it needs is a pelletizer cheap enough to buy for a stream that is measured in dozens of kilos a shift rather than tonnes an hour, simple enough for a machine operator to run alongside their normal job, and low enough in energy draw that the arithmetic still works at that scale.
Air cooling rather than water cooling is what keeps it in that bracket: no water circuit, no dewatering stage, less to install and less to maintain. Trim that used to be sold as scrap or paid for as waste goes back into the extruder that produced it. Where the material is neither clean nor single-polymer, the answer is a different machine and usually a larger pelletizing line with washing in front of it — the same reasoning that decides how far a film line has to go for a given contamination level.

What the Stand Was Actually For
Two things happen at a stand that do not happen anywhere else in a sale. The first is that a visitor can put their own material in front of you. Granule samples sat on the counter for all four days for exactly that purpose — a sample answers the question of what a line produces far faster than any specification does.
The second is that existing customers come by. Some to talk about a second line, some to raise something about the first, some for no commercial reason at all. Those conversations are the reason a manufacturer keeps returning to a show rather than putting the same budget into advertising: they cannot be scheduled, and they do not happen over email.
